Disclaimer: I was at a party tonight, and I'm a tad intoxicated. The party involved a live band. Sort of.
"What do you call people who hang out with musicians"
A: "Dummers"
"Why is a drum solo like a train wreck?"
A: "because you can see it coming, but there's nothing you can do about it.?"
Everybody notices a shitty drummer. Nobody notices a good drummer. Nobody notices an amazing drummer.
When its a shitty guitarist, everybody blames the drummer. When its a shitty drummer, every body blames the guitarist. Or possibly the vocalist.
The drummer is the backbone of the band. They sit at the back and dont get to walk around the stage while they perform. They dont attract attention.
And yet, good guitarist are a dime a dozen, but good drummers are hard to find.
