So I was sitting here typing away at the computer, and Apollo was curled up sleeping beside me, and he started moving one paw wierd, just up and down. I thought, he must be dreaming, so I tickled his foot, and got no response. Usually when I see them dreaming, their eyes and whiskers would be moving, and his eyes and whiskers weren't. So I poked him, which normally elicits the "the fuck do you want?" look, but he didn't even open his eyes. So I nudged his head, and he was completely limp like he was dead or something. He was still breathing normally. Nudged him some more, and a couple seconds later, he snapped out of it and woke up.

I've seen seizures before in two different animals, one a cat, but they've been more violent, not the catatonic seizures.

Anyway, he's going to the vet.

Update:

Vet says it's probably not a seizure, since Apollo went limp and not rigid, and it's most likely nothing and he was just in really deep REM sleep.

Hell, I know how many times I can kick Nathan to move him off my side of the bed, and he doesn't wake up.

sounds like he's fine, just going in for some tests on thursday to make sure there's nothing else that could have caused it.

Hopefully it's nothing too bad. Maybe he just had a weird muscle seize up?

He'd gone limp though, so the vet says probably not a seizure.
