Nano Update

Well, I've got nowhere near what I'd need to have to have to come near the 50 000 words I'm supposed to do for nano, but I'm still pleased at what I've got.
Normally I've been averaging about two chapters a months, gotten to the second draft stage. Before Nano started I had written ten chapters in about five months, and had a total of about 35 000 words.
In twenty days I've got four chapters done. Well, it's called three chapters in my notebook, but there's going to be enough added to make four, and I just haven't decided where the official chapter breaks will be. And I've managed to slog through the slow part of the story I've been dreading. It will require copious amounts of editing, but that's what second drafts are for and not what NaNoWriMo is for.
For a total at 20 days, of 13 000 words. If I can keep this up, I can theoretically get 20 000 words by the end of the month. Which is more than half of what I've managed in five months.
So i can be proud of myself, at least, even if that's not taking into consideration that the first 35 000 is already at second draft. Between physics labs and whatnot else, I've managed to accomplish something. And I'm one major event away from the climax of the story.
So, the final push. -and the final physics lab. Ah well.
PS: update on the little christmas cactus; it's blooming it's little heart out. This one may be hard to kill. Lets hope.
