New Year's Resolutions

cl0ckw0rkf0xWell, I'm home and all. Good christmas. All my family likes my boyfriend, and they're not to sort of family that you expect to have something blow up, so it's relaxing to be with them, both sides of the family.
Which makes me wonder how come I have so many problems with my mother. Oh well. I'm taking the high road with her. Whatever has happened in the past, I will let go as I can, and act in as mature and fair way possible with her. But I won't compromise myself, my beliefs or my loved ones for her, and if we stop talking again, it won't be me this time turning my back. Same as I treat everyone. If she don't accept me for who I am, her problem, because who I am is not an unreasonable person to have to deal with.
Nathan's mom rocks, she got me lots of kitchen stuff for when we move out in the spring.
Anyway; my new year's resolutions:
I will quit smoking. I don't smoke, but I figured I'd start with a sure winner.
I will keep up with the reading and homework for my classes. Once I get behind, I get stressed and have trouble concentrating on stuff, then I can't catch up. I'm going to try not to get stuck in this vicious cycle again.
I will get Book one of Timekeeper to a stage where I can send it to publishers and agents, and by the end of next year, I will begin sending it out. The way things are going with it, I think this shouldn't be too much of a problem.
I will spend lots of time with Nathan. Hopefully this will be easier when we're moved in together.
I will practice on my guitar more often. I've been so busy with school and friends, there's a number of things that have fallen by the wayside. Art is another.
Can't think of anything else worth mentioning.

Date: 2006-12-30 05:03 am (UTC)whenever you want to get to learning that song, give me a call, and we'll arrange a time. As for drawing, steal some paper out of the printer at work sometime, and I can give you some tips.
Note: I'm not good at light and shadow, so don't hope to learn that from me. I mostly have shapes and perspective down.

Are you still planning for the end of april/early may? Also, I'll help you move when you do.
