The last part of my application to the Midwifery education program at Laurentian University goes in the mail tomorrow. I'm nervous; I've never wanted anything this much. And statistically, I hear most people don't get in the first time they apply anyway, so I shouldn't get my hopes up too much, or get too upset if I don't get accepted, just try again next year.

But anyway, wish me luck.

Good luck, from Chris Casey at the oww. One of my characters from one of my stories dabbled in midwifery. My challenge was to encorporate the sequence into more than just a dream sequence. It sounds like this is more than a dream for you, and it could come true. I like the word Laurentian, and wonder from where it is derived. Maybe, you could answer my question on your next blog.

Laurentian is derived from the river it sits beside; the St. Lawrence river, in eastern Canada, pouring out of the great lakes.
