general update

Visited my dad and grandma in portage on wednesday and stayed till friday afternoon. Overdosed on cable TV. Also, what kind of person buys a book entitled, Ipods and I-tunes for dummies? My dad, of course. He's also the sort who will read the licence agreement on a new program he's installing. I think he understands lawyerspeak a hell of a lot better than I do, though, to his credit.

Night writers meeting was on wednesday night. I read them chapter six. I had forgotten how compelling that chapter is; I haven't read it since I wrote it.

I've thought of a different way to order events in some future unwritten chapters. I'm torn though, because there are some clever events I'd have to skip, and another character would know what's going on a lot longer. But then, that makes a little more sense, because their best friend knows and why wouldn't he tell them? But I don't know if it would be too much happening at once. Both have been forshadowed, and the story wouldn't be complete without a monger awakening. But to make it all work, there are other things I'd have to move, because the monger awakening has to happen at a certain time, with certain other things going on. Because I want to destroy something really big, but after the monger awakening part, a character will then be easily able to protect that thing.
